Privacy policy

Your scripts, recordings and account data deserve clear rules.

This Privacy Policy explains how WebCosmonauts handles personal data and device permissions when you use IZY Prompter.

1. Overview

IZY Prompter is a teleprompter and video recording app for writing scripts, importing and exporting text, recording videos and optionally syncing scripts across devices.

We collect only the information needed to provide the app, operate optional cloud and AI features, improve reliability and understand basic product usage.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your camera, microphone, scripts or recordings for advertising.

2. Data we collect or process

The exact data processed depends on the features you choose to use.

Account data Email address, user ID and authentication tokens when you create an account or sign in for cloud sync.
Script data Script titles, script text, tags, formatting, favourites, recording status and timestamps when you save scripts locally or sync them.
Recording data Videos and audio are created on your device when you record. They remain on your device unless you choose to share, export or upload them through another service.
AI request data If you use AI script generation or assistant actions, the text and options you submit are sent to our automation endpoint to generate the requested result.
Analytics data App events such as app launch, opening screens, starting or stopping recording, changing settings, importing, exporting or deleting content.
Technical data Device, app version, platform, diagnostics, network request metadata and similar information needed for app operation and troubleshooting.

3. Device permissions

IZY Prompter may request access to the following device features:

  • Camera: used to preview and record videos with your script on screen.
  • Microphone: used to record audio and display audio levels while recording.
  • Storage or media access: used to import files, save recordings, open local videos or share/export content when you choose those actions.
  • Internet: used for account sign-in, cloud sync, analytics and optional AI features.

You can disable permissions in your device settings. Some app features may not work without the permissions they require.

4. How we use data

  • To let you create, edit, import, export and organise scripts.
  • To record video and audio when you start a recording.
  • To sync scripts across devices when you sign in and enable cloud sync.
  • To provide AI script generation or editing assistance when you request it.
  • To maintain app security, prevent abuse, debug issues and improve app quality.
  • To measure aggregated product usage and understand which features need improvement.

5. Sharing and service providers

We use trusted service providers to operate IZY Prompter. These providers process data on our behalf or as independent providers under their own terms and privacy practices.

  • Google Firebase: authentication, cloud database and related infrastructure for account and script sync features.
  • Mixpanel: product analytics events that help us understand app usage and improve the app.
  • WebCosmonauts n8n automation endpoint: processing requests for AI script generation and assistant actions.
  • AI service providers: if used by our automation endpoint, script prompts and related request data may be processed to generate the AI response you requested.
  • Platform providers: Google Play, Apple, operating systems and device services may process technical data needed to distribute and run the app.

We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect our rights, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data. Data sent between the app and online services is transmitted using encrypted network connections where supported by those services.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. If you believe your data or account has been affected by a security issue, contact us as soon as possible.

7. Retention and deletion

Locally stored scripts, recordings and preferences remain on your device until you delete them in the app, remove the app, clear app data, or delete the files from your device.

Cloud-synced scripts and account data are kept while your account is active or as needed to provide sync, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain security.

You can request account deletion and deletion of associated cloud data by contacting us at contact@webcosmonauts.pl. We may need to verify your request before deleting account data.

Analytics and diagnostic records may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form for product improvement and operational reporting.

8. Children

IZY Prompter is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.

9. Your choices and rights

  • You can use many app features without creating an account.
  • You can choose whether to sign in and sync scripts.
  • You can choose whether to use AI features.
  • You can manage camera, microphone and storage permissions in your device settings.
  • You can delete local scripts and recordings in the app or from your device.
  • You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion or other rights available under applicable law.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your country of residence. When data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of IZY Prompter after an update means the updated policy applies.
